In August of 2007, my life's path led me to begin my service as Pastor of the Little Brown Church in the Vale. My wife Vicky and I feel so very blessed by God to be entrusted as His servants in this inspirational, charming setting with a history as rich and deep as the Little Brown Church's. We would thoroughly enjoy having you join in worshipping Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at anytime you may be able. Our Sunday morning worship starts at 10:30 a.m.; we have a sing-a-long that precedes at 10:15. Our congregation is an active one with Sunday School, Youth Programs and a vibrant Women's Fellowship. The church is basically open throughout the daylight hours. Feel free to stop by and bask in the sense of holiness, offer a prayer and sign the guest book.
Should you have arrived at the time in your life's journey with a wedding in your future, we would look forward to helping make your special day a wonderful and memorable experience. What better way could there be than to ask God's blessings on a day of such importance in your lives? Our goal is to create an atmosphere combining worship, grace and jubilation for your wedding ceremony.
The Little Brown Church has long been a special place in the lives of many people, coming from throughout not only the United States but also from some of the furthest points on earth. Our goal is not to supplant your own local church's ministry, but to provide a memorable, quaint and unique setting for weddings and baptisms. We have shared with families who have had as many as four generations married at the Little Brown Church. Many return annually on the first Sunday in August to renew their marriage vows or on those special anniversaries in their married lives.
The closing line of that wonderful hymn The Church in the Wildwood is: "No spot is so dear to my childhood, as the Little Brown Church in the Vale". We invite you to make this place as dear to your hearts as it is to ours.
